What IS Manifesting?

By Anna Le Sueur
What IS Manifesting?

Technically, manifesting means to bring something to reality, or the forefront. If you manifest something, you make it happen.

And you are very good at manifesting. Actually, you have manifested everything you have right now. Believe it or not, your powerful mind is busy delivering exactly what it thinks you want, all the time. The thing is thoughts, experiences and beliefs are all jumbled together giving mixed signals to the part of your brain that is trying to work out what you need. That is why you don't always end up with what you had hoped for!

The act of manifesting involves aligning your thoughts to an intention - a focus - kind of amplified goal setting. You are probably used to setting goals - whether it be work targets or not forgetting to buy the milk. The difference between normal goal setting and manifesting is that the latter uses both the conscious and the subconscious mind. In addition, we tend to want to manifest grand goals, so manifesting could be described as turbo-charged goal setting.

I go into more detail about the science of how this all works in another blog, but the image below highlights a key element to the manifesting cycle - the Brain Filter (Also known as the Reticular Activating System).

The FIVE step My Manifest process guides you through the cycle in a way that will maximise manifesting potential. Rather than simply wishing for what you want, you will layer intention, emotions, gratitude, positive thinking and action to bring your dreams to reality.

It sounds harder than it is. For a free guide to manifesting in Five Minutes A Day, sign up to our mailing list, here.

In the meantime,
